This piece has been with me for a while. It was an attempt to add a more 3 dimensional effect to painting. I created the forms with tin foil and paper mache(ed)the forms to the canvas. Then, I added the texture on top of everything and painted it. This was done while I was still into very hard lines and definite geometric shapes.
This piece was an experiment in color. I really enjoy washes! It is on display at The Freckled Frog. The Freckled Frog is a little shop connected to The Satellite Cafe in the Heights in Little Rock. They have wonderful art, jewelry, and clothing. It is all handmade by local craftspeople! The Satellite Cafe has great food too! Stop by soon!
The Buyer of Transformation enjoyed the painting so much, she asked me to paint her bathroom in the same manner. I also put another painting in the bathroom but I don't have any pictures of it! This bathroom was covered in floral wallpaper before I got a hold of it. Definite improvement!
